Mid-Wales

We are based in the pretty market town of Llanidloes, which is the first town on the river Severn. The area is rich in history and beautiful scenery.

On this page we'd like to show you some of the highlights to look out for when you visit and suggest some other local small businesses that may interest you.

 What to see in Llanidloes

Llanidloes has a wonderful old market Hall, which was built in the 17th Century. It is the only surviving timber framed market hall in Wales.

Inside there is a display in English and Welsh. Admission is free. For further details click here .

There are many other interesting buildings, such as the Town Hall and St. Idloes Church, which dates to the 14th century.

There are many nice walks to do around the town as well as the surrounding countryside.

You could have a walk through Severn Port Park, along the river and see the statue of Sabrina, the Welsh goddess of the river.

There are many small shops, cafe's and pubs for you to enjoy. Most of these are independent locally owned businesses, and, as such, can offer something different from big High Street chains. Many stock locally produced meat, fruit and vegetables, bread and of course local crafts.
